- Ruby was born in Tasmania at Straun & was not a well child having Rhumatic fever which enlarged her Heart. She had 6 children one of whom died as the result of a fire when he was about 2 years & was named Ramond Carian. Ruby suffered with Asthma all her life. She had a love of popular music. Alwayus kept herself nicely dressed until her husband George died, then she let her self go a bit. Ruby & George travelled around NZ with their own amusements eg. Merry-go-round, Ferris Wheel Chair-o-plane & the Hoopla, Laughing clowns, Candyfloss & Popcorn etc. George her husband died abt, three years after retiring from an anurism. They had retired to Hamilton.NZ. She was a good sole.
